For us, sustainability isn’t just about materials—it’s also about preserving craftsmanship. That’s why we drew inspiration from Bidriware, a 700-year-old metal inlay craft from Bidar, India. Traditionally used for decorative objects, this intricate art form had never been introduced into fashion—until now.
We thought, why not bring this beautiful craft into modern accessories? By incorporating handcrafted Bidriware logos into our handbags, we’re not just making a design statement—we’re helping to keep this heritage alive. Each logo is carefully created by skilled artisans, turning every bag into a unique blend of history and contemporary style.
A Women-Led Brand Making an Impact
Ittara’s story is personal. Our founder, Neha Garg, left behind a career in the U.S. to build something meaningful in India—an ethical, stylish, and forward-thinking brand that challenges the norms of fashion. Without a fashion background, she started from scratch, driven by a vision to create handbags that are both stunning and sustainable.
