All Ittara bags are handcrafted in small batches in India by skilled artisans. We work with a boutique production setup that allows close control over quality, finishing, and scale.

What materials do you use?

Our current collection is made using cork, a plant-based alternative to animal leather, sourced from Portugal. Cork is renewable, lightweight, durable, and naturally water-resistant.

Are your bags vegan?

Yes. Our bags are made without animal leather and do not use animal-derived materials.

What does “small-batch” mean?

We produce in limited quantities rather than mass manufacturing. This helps us:

It also means some styles may sell out and be restocked slowly.

How durable is cork as a bag material?
